Tab Trade — What It Is
TabTrade.com opened in Q1 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background matters. It says the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not guarantee anything. Still preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.
The instrument list: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, equities, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. 1,000+. For something that launched in March 2026, that coverage is solid.
Platforms
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from the same login. Many only give you one or the other. Having both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, huge user base. If you have traded on MT4 or MT5 previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders prefer it once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for automated strategies but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is said to be on the roadmap. That will round things out when it lands.
Accounts and Pricing
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. No commission. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your all-in cost can be under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, negotiated fees. Not something most retail traders. Skip it unless you move real size.
How Fast Are the Fills
The speed is the thing TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. The average platform quote hundreds of milliseconds.
Should you care? If you scalp, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That is something about priorities.
Pair those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Few brokers at this price point offer execution like this.
Safety
Here is the thing that requires honesty. TabTrade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No CySEC. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a dealbreaker, stop reading. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Scam brokers do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. That does not make it safe. It should be part of your decision.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether the trade-off is worth it is your call.
